November 13th 2017

The A52 Brian Clough Way eastbound, between Pentagon and Raynesway junctions, will be closed from 8pm to 6am each night from Monday 13th November to Friday 17th November.  No works will take place at the weekend and the road will be opened by 6am on Saturday morning. We will only close the road when necessary, so if we finish works before 6am we will open it earlier.

This means there will be no access to the A52 Brian Clough Way eastbound from Eastgate flyover/Pentagon Island or from Wyvern Way. The signed diversion routes are shown on this plan A52 Eastbound Closure Pentagon to Raynesway diversion routes

  • Vehicles travelling out of Derby will be diverted along Eastgate/St Alkmund’s Way to Holmes Bridge (A601), Pride Parkway (A6), London Road (A6), Raynesway (A5111) to the slip road on to the A52.
  • Vehicles travelling to/from the Wyvern should follow the diversions on Derwent Parade/Pride Parkway (A6).

Our contractors will be removing street lighting in the central reservation. For safety reasons we also need to close the outside lane on Brian Clough Way westbound from Raynesway to Pentagon.  The lane closures will be the same times as the eastbound closures, from 8pm to 6am each evening.

Work is being carried out during the daytime on Wyvern Way. This involves offline works and narrowed lanes on Wyvern Way and the roundabout near Derwent Parade. We have also started work to prepare for the replacement of Meadow Lane footbridge.
