Derby Commuters who registered to car share on the new Connected derbycarshare.com  website during National Liftshare Week in October were automatically entered into a prize draw for a chance to win 4 VIP celebration tickets to watch the Rams take on Blackpool FC on Saturday 7 December.

The winner, Catherine Stephenson from Tutbury, registered with the site during the promotional week, and was looking to share her daily commute from home to her work in Derby. She said:

“Derbycarshare is a great idea. I live 13 miles from my work office in Derby so the petrol cost is very high. I don’t know anyone who travels the same route and time and this website has given me the opportunity to find commuters to share the cost of the journey. You can provide details of your age and interests so that you find a like-minded car share partner. I’ve already found some possible partners in the neighbouring village and I am just in the process of contacting them”. 

Catherine is also a keen Derby County supporter, so was very pleased to win the prize draw.  She was met at the match by Councillor Afzal, Cabinet Member for Planning, Environment & Public Protection, who congratulated her on the prize draw win and being part of car share.
