As part of our aim to improve cycling infrastructure across the city, we are considering proposals to introduction a new segregated cycle lane along Ascot Drive.  A segregated cycle lane is a cycle lane on the carriageway that is separated from  motor traffic by a physical barrier.

The segregated cycle lane would:

  • Make it safer for cyclists to use this convenient stretch of road, separating them from the traffic
  • Provide good links to other nearby cycle routes along Pride Park, London Road and the Riverside Path
  • Help to reduce traffic congestion in the area
  • Increase the network of cycle lanes and routes across Derby.

We’d like to hear the views of both cyclists and non-cyclists.  This consultation is open to everyone who lives, works or studies in Derby.  Your feedback will be used to help us improve the cycling experience in Derby.

The online survey takes around five minutes to complete, and you can also choose to enter a free prize draw for a chance to win a £50 shopping giftcard.
