The second phase of the cycle scheme on Full Street is now complete.  The £25,000 improvements funded predominately by the Local Sustainable Transport Fund, which is being delivered locally by Connected now allows cyclists to travel from Derwent Street to Queen Street, where a new dedicated traffic signal has been provided.

The first phase of the works completed in September 2014 saw the new constructed footway enabling cyclists to cycle from Derwent Street to the Park Bikeworks, following the removal of the bus lay-by.  These works further enhanced the street scene for pedestrians, with coloured surfacing, and increased parking opportunities.

Councillor Martin Rawson, Deputy Leader, and Cabinet Member for Planning, Environment and Regeneration said: “I am delighted to see the completion of this long awaited cycle link.  This investment has produced a key link for cyclists providing much easier access for cyclists to the Park Bikeworks, the city centre and beyond”.
