The DE-Carbonise project follows on from the award winning D2EE project (East Midlands Energy Efficiency Awards 2018 and 2019).
The project team can work with your business to reduce carbon emissions and operating costs. Support is available until October 2022.
Free carbon reduction surveys
A Project Officer will visit your business and carry out a basic carbon reduction audit to identify measures to reduce energy use and carbon emissions at your premises. Surveys and technical support are available for both Derby and Derbyshire eligible businesses.
Grants for reducing carbon emissions
Grants are available for eligible businesses within Derby city.
Derby SMEs can apply for grants of up to £20,000 towards the cost of carbon reduction measures in their premises (the grant can cover up to 40% of the cost of the work). This could include more efficient lighting, insulation, heating/cooling systems, compressors, motors, process equipment, renewable energy, electric vehicles / charge points and reduced waste or resource use.
The process is very straight-forward and the DE-Carbonise team will complete your grant application and provide support.
Low carbon support
Additional support with low carbon technical, product, supply chain and process improvements is also available.
