all derby – one ticket

Derby has several bus companies that run the services that are vital to travel all across the city. If your journey involves travelling with different companies, then Spectrum is the right ticket for you. The Spectrum smart card can initially be purchased from the bus station information office, and then topped up on participating Arriva, Trent Barton, Notts & Derby, Kinch and Yourbus services, with some exceptions (see below).

You can buy day tickets which are valid until midnight on the date of purchase, and 7 day and 28 day saver tickets, giving you unlimited cheaper travel within the Derby city area for less.

How it works

Customers can now buy the daily, 7 day or 28 day advance tickets from the bus station information office. You can make as many journeys as you want on any participating services within the city during the period. Customers can then continue to top up additional day or saver tickets at the bus station or on participating Arriva, trentbarton, Notts and Derby, Kinch Bus or Your Bus.

At the start of each new day of travel, customers will simply need to place their Spectrum card on the bus ticket machine to activate that days travel. There is no need to touch off when you get off the bus. Every time you board a new bus service during the day, you will need to do the same thing.

How do I get one?

Smart cards are initially available to buy from the bus station information office. Users can then continue to top up on any participating bus service.
